I have always enjoyed developing résumés. It is such a great opportunity to learn about different fields, occupations and jobs. It gives me insight into the careers of my individual clients.
I also get to learn about the skills people have developed through their education and work experience. For example, recently I have had the chance to learn the ins-and-outs of car sales, corporate transition consulting, civil technician project management, change management, fundraising, and factory health and safety. These are all positions I wouldn’t have had the chance to learn about if I hadn’t had the opportunity to work with these clients in the development of their résumés and cover letters.
